Time and again, Swami has stated in the Charithāmṛtham that His arrival has been a result of selfless action and that He answers the call of selfless souls.
Nishkām-akarma means to perform an action in benevolence, with the sole intention of bringing good to all. Such action carries no expectation of reward or personal gain.
Here, the sense of being the individual doer gradually recedes. The action is performed without the thought, "What will I receive in return?"
Śrīpāda repeatedly declares that His descent is connected with such selfless action.
Akarma is not merely about doing more for others. It is a gradual movement away from constant self-concern and towards the Higher Self.
To be selfless. To be more kind. To be more compassionate. To be more forgiving.
To think a little less about oneself, and a little more about others.
Let us strive to be selfless through thought, word and deed.
When collective consciousness awakens to selflessness, we begin to usher in an age in which the Datta Energy may prevail more prominently.
